I did some work on this dryer a few months back, among other things I put in a new heating element and it was working just fine. I went to use it yesterday and suddenly there is no heat.
I took it apart, I checked the heating element, all the thermostats, I took them off the dryer and the fuse.
Everything has continuity, I don't get it.

Pull the dryer out of the wall and remove the terminal block cover. Check the power cord connection to the terminal block. While the power cord is plugged into the wall outlet, measure the voltage between the black wire & the white wire and the red wire & the white wire. The normal readings suppose to be about 120 VAC. Measure the voltage between the black wire & the red wire. The normal reading suppose to be about 240 VAC. Post the results. I performed the tests you suggested and I got the results we were looking for, Black & white was 120, red & white was 120 and black and red was 240.

Remove the wires from the heating element terminals. Check for 120 VAC between each of the wires and the ground while the timer calls for heat. One of the wire should not have the correct reading. Trace that wire and post the results.

I did the testing, every wire tested 120, then I hooked the heating element back up and took a reading on both of those, it was 120. I don't know what to tell you. I've put the dryer all back together, theoretically it's going to work.
I'll let you know.....if it doesn't work I will probably buy a new dryer.

I put one wire from my tester on the heating element and the other wire to a ground.
So I put the dryer back together and it works and I will go with the theory that one of those thermostatic units was stuck and jostling the dryer around shook it loose before I even took things apart and that's why they were all continuous.
