Model Number: wgd8300sw1 Brand: Whirlpool Age: 5 - 10 years
i have a whirlpool gas dryer model wgd8300sw1. i purchased used and converted from natural to lp. first time i used it it seem to be fine. second time i noticed a gas smell when it is running. checked for leaks, no leaks found. third time seemed fine. fourth time noticed gas smell again, checked for leaks, no leaks found. flame looks good. its in a camper with co and gas leak detectors and nothing goes off. steel vent pipe goes straight out the back about 7 inch long. i dont have a guage to check pressure so i do not know it is. should i just replace the gas valve and if so are there any adjustments that would have to be made or is it preset including checking pressure. thanks rick
