Kenmore elite dryer not calling for heat element to come on-element is not bad. What could this be?

Hi.

First of all check if there is 240VAC at the wall outlet. Reset the breaker.
If the dryer runs and no heat, check the thermal cut-off, hi-limit for continuity.
Check the heat relay (at the control board) contacts No to COM. With dryer turned to heat you should have continuity.

The thermal cut-off and hi-limit Part number: 279973
Part number: 279973

Thank you. Post the results.

Simon.
