I have read threads in the repair forum and thought I had the answer. My Maytag gas dryer fires up the first time and then the flame never comes on again. Igniter glows bright orange and then a click and no flame. So I got new coils and put them in. Now it doesn't even fire the first time. Igniter glows bright orange and then a click and then no flame. The first two coils are staked and I noticed they get hot to the touch. Is it ths gas valve? The two coils have the stem sleeve (thin metal tube) and the small o ring in place. Help!

What happens if you put the old coils back in? Will it at least fire once like it was with the old coils?
