Hello everyone,

I have a Kenmore 88042 dryer, that has been going haywire, beeping and flashing on it's own, now finally the dryer will not continue to run for more than a few minutes. I've tried doing the diagnostic, but do not get the results expected. I also tried running with no heat in case there was an issue with the heating but it still stopped on its own. Would everyone agree that the problem is with the mainboard? More importantly, how do I get the control panel off? it seems like the front covers have to come off starting from the bottom? Any help is appreciated!

Hi

I would check for any loose connections before replacing the control board.
