The start switch on my dryer that turns to the right to start dryer was slipping. Now it will not start the dryer at all. I removed the knob & tried turning the whatchamacallit that sticks out with pliers & that doesn't work either. This is very perplexing to me. Do I just need a new knob? This is what my three children look like in the morning when their favorite clothes are not dry enough to wear at a moments notice....   . Please help! Thank you, Cherie

replace the start switch. or, if it is a 2 wire start switch, take the 2 wires off the start switch, and put the terminal ends together, and then put some tape around it, so the metal terminal ends do not hit metal, and then turn the timer on, and it will come on without the start switch. do this with the dryer unplugged. tom
