Dryer will not heat
Model Number: DLG7188WM Brand: -other- Age: 1 - 5 years
Hello, my LG DLG7188WM Gas Dryer shows "cooling" on display when first turned on. Gas burner will come on for a few seconds, (I can hear it fire up) but clothes do not warm or dry. I have run diagnostic test - get a "nE". I checked the thermistor - it showed 9.6 Kohms at 76 deg F. The thermostat below the thermistor tested @ 0.3 ohms. The manual reset thermostat tested @ 0 ohms, the thermostat on back side of burn chamber tested at 0 ohms. What is next? Please help, buried in clothes!

Well, I see 111 people have looked and no suggestions. It is not the control board. Replaced it and still getting a "cooling" display on panel even before dryer has heated. The gas burner will start, but will shut off when dryer heats a little and not come back on. Any suggestions from the Pro's. What would you do if you were in the field and this happened? Thanks.

Thanks to tech on parts Q&A. It was the gas valve and probably weak igniter. It ohmed out perfectly and would light initially, but would not stay lit. I was told to try a new one and I HAVE A DRYER AGAIN!!!
