Default Hooking up new Whirlpool thermostat. No hookup for black/white wire
Model Number: LEC9000PW1   Brand: Whirlpool   Age: 1 - 5 years

Appliance Parts from AppliancePartPros.com

I just purchased a new heating element with both new thermostats. The new thermostat that is attached to the heating element now uses a Jump wire to connect the the heating element. There is a black/wire that use to hook up to the old thermostat mid way between the thermostat and the heating element. The old thermostat did not use a jump wire, but rather a piece of metal that connected to the heating element. This is where the black/wire had a connection to hook up but since the new one uses a jump wire, there is no place for it to hook up. What is this black/wire for and what do I do with it now????

Does this wire currently have a spade connector on it?
If not I'm assuming that you had to cut the original ends that
go to the element off and splice the jumper wires on them.
That's the way it usually works.
According to the schematic that wire goes directly to element
coming off of the high limit thermostat. So you should be able to
take the wire nut back off on the wire coming off of the stat that
goes to the element and simply do a three way splice.

Yes it has a spade connector. I don't really know the purpose of the wire. Yeah, i guess I can crimp this wire with the jump wire from the thermostat to the element in the same spade connector, correct me if I'm wrong.

According to the schematic the White with Black tracer or "WB" wire
is connected to the line that goes between the high limit stat and the
element. Without it there would be settings in which the timer would not
advance.
