Model Number: LGC6646AQ2 Brand: Whirlpool Age: More than 10 years
Good afternoon. Thanks for the great content and suggestions on this forum. I'm trying to diagnose a gas dryer heating problem and it's harder than expected. The dryer is 16 years old and worked great until last week when it stopped producing heat. Here are my actions thus far; replaced igniter, thermal fuse and coils, cleaned ducts and bottom of dryer. The ducts were good shape with only a small amount of lint build-up in the exhaust line. I've had the dryer apart on 3 occasions. After reassembling the dryer, it works...one time!?!?! I let it run for a few minutes and then turned it off. The igniter doesn't glow for the restarts. I checked the flame sensor for continuity and everything looks good. I can't tell if the problem is electrical or gas. Any advice is greatly appreciate. Whirlpool model # LGC6646AQ2.
