I have checked every fuse and switch. Door switch- Good. Thrmal fuse- Good. Heating element-Good. Safety fuse- Good. Any idea on how to troubleshoot from there? Only thing I dont understand how to check is the timer. I've also checked the engine. Removed both wires, positive conductivity. I want to assume that its the timer but thats an expensive assumption. When its plugged in ive tried putting it in every setting and pressing start (which is same nob as settings) and I get no response. No sound. Nothing

Here are your parts, includes a wiring diagram. Replacement parts for Maytag PYE2300AYW DRYER- ELE | AppliancePartsPros.comFirst thing to check is the power. Try flipping the breaker off/on slowly a couple times. Sometimes you can loose half the line without actually tripping the breaker. Check the voltage at the plug L1 to L2 should be 240 volts L1 to Neutral and L2 to Neutral, both should be 120 volts. L1 to Neutral is the side of the line used by the motor. If OK Unplug the unit and check the wires at the terminal strip in the machine to make sure none are loose or burned out If OK Check the power at the terminal strip. Do this with the heater off and on. Be careful as 240 volts is lethal !!! |
