My dryer runs fine and I believe overheats. Then the circuit breaker throws. I can run it without heat with no problem. There is no problem with the outlet or plug itself. Suggestions? Thermostat? I have cleaned all the ducting, pulled it away from the wall, removed all lint..there are no obstructions.

Here are your parts Replacement parts for DLB155)B models | AppliancePartsPros.comUnplug the unit and the wires at the elements. Be sure to mark them or make yourself a diagram. Then measure across the elements using a meter I am not sure what they should be but they should have continuity anywhere from 10 to 50 ohms. Then measure from each element connector to the frame, they should all be infinite ohms. If not an element has broken and is touching the frame, this can cause it to run hot as the thermostats cannot regulate it. It can also pull excessive current, blowing your breaker. |
