Dryer seems to function normally with the exception that it randomly starts beeping uncontrollably. I don't mean like an error sequence or any kind of seemingly logical beeping. The beeping is irregular and will go once or many times in a period of seconds and with no regularity to the intervals (sounds almost like morse code...maybe someone is trapped inside?)
unplugging for a few minutes and retrying seems to reset for a bit. also it almost always stops as I walk up to it like it sees me coming (but not always) and a the always trusty slap on the housing seems to work for a bit as well.
Thought it might have been that it simply needed beneath the lint filter cleaned as it was overdue but that didn't help. I am thinking control board but with the irregularity it almost seems like some kind of short or loose part like the switch?
Any thoughts?
