Question for Simon app team expert, please describe how to run test on model 110.67422600 for the timer unit? I have talked to guys on site & followed testing for just about every other element ( door switch, thermal fuse, push to start switch, cycling thermostat) and motor turns freely not smell of a short/electrical problem from it, drum & belt intact great shape. Power to unit is on, as door open light goes on, turn timer dial and push start nothing. Return dial to off & push start button buzzer goes off. If timer is not answer is there a test for motor?? for continuity? Please advise Thank you

Hi.

If you are absolutely positive that the thermal fuse is not blown and the door switch is good check the timer contacts as follow :
Set the timer for timed regular and check continuity BK-BU,TM-WB,BK-R.
If there continuity on all 3 of them - the timer is good.

Replace the motor Part number: 279827
Part number: 279827

The timer Part number: 8299779
Part number: 8299779

Good luck.Post the results.

Simon.

PS. I have a filling that it's the thermal fuse...

Hey Simon,
Thanks for input, tried timer test & everything OK! Retested all other elements. Found push start switch bad , strangely tested ok over week ago but definitely no continuity now. Also thermal fuse ok ,but will order one anyway as contingency for future. Thanks Again Jim

Hey Simon, Thought I had it done; but bought new thermal fuse & push start switch. Neither are problem. Installed new components same result. No start just a humming. Did check on starter bk -bu and rest all read 00.00 . Is it possible to have a detailed answer to timer test showing expected good results for all circuits? What's the use of this, if can't get answers. Did ask once about how to test motor itself and one guy got back saying test a part I don't have on this machine?? Door switch clicks every time touched & tested good ?? What is answer. Thanks Jim

Hi.

Tape the door switch pushed in, press the start button and rotate the drum while the motor is humming.
If the motor kicks in - replace it.

Thank you.

Simon.

Hey Simon,
WOW followed last post and motor ran w/ door open & finger on door switch which produced motor on, felt heat right away but drum did not keep spinning when I jump started it w/ foot. So motor is shot, right? Get back to me thanks JIm

Hi.

I'm sorry, didn't understand what you did, but if you followed my instructions and the motor starts - then replace the motor.
You have the part number.

Thank you.

Simon.

Hey Simon,
Did what you instructed. 1. kept door switch active by depressing it.
2. turned timer dial to 10 minutes on regular cycle.
3. pushed start switch
4. Rotated drum by hand = motor ran, heat went on, but drum did not rotate independently. ONLY rotated w/ my assist.
Is this clearly only the motor bad or other item(s) too?
Thanks Jim
