Default Dryer Takes way to long to dry
Model Number: LER4634EQO   Brand: Whirlpool   Age: 5 - 10 years

Dryer takes way to long to dry, i have checked the vent and it is clear. I opened the door and started it up and noticed the heating eleament starts and gets red hot for about 15/20 sec. and goes out and does not go on again for a very long time. Any input would greatly be appreciated.
thanks
Confused.

Hi,

You will need to take the back of the dryer apart and check the places I show in the diagram for lint.

Smile Dryer not drying clothes

I just want to thank you for the diagram, it was a little different then mine but i found it with no problem, guess what?? FULL of lint about 2 cups worth, so we pulled it all out put it back together and did a load and presto 1 cycle and the clothes were dry, it didnt take 3 or even 4 cycles.

THANKS AGAIN FOR THE INPUT, boy i sure love the net.
