My dryer has power but wont start, does anyone know what i can to to fix this. I am an electrician an tested the voltage, i have 220v going to unit. i have 220v behind the start knob but it wont start please help....

A model number may help others help you.
Did you check for the 120 volts (in your case probably 110). L1 to Neutral is what runs the motor.
On many units there is a thermal fuse on the blower assembly. It kills power to the motor, it should be 0 ohms. If it is blown replace it ASAP as it is a critical safety device. The most common cause of it blowing is a dirty vent system. |
