Default Kenmore Dryer No Heat
Model Number: 110-6612500   Brand: Kenmore   Age: 1 - 5 years

I have a Kenmore Dryer purchased in 2005. The heat just quit working on it on Sunday. The machine operates but with no heat. I have read some of the posts as far as what to look for and check but am still totally lost. I have located the heating element and I think I have located the thermal cutoff and hi limit thermostat, but not sure where the thermal fuse is. How do I check these to make sure they are working? I am an EXTREME novice and this is the first dryer repair EVER attempted.

The dryer runs on 2 30amp fuses or breakers. One for the motor and one for the heat. First off locate house fuses or breakers and make sure "BOTH" fuses or breakers are good. Just because it runs doesn't mean that both fuses are good!! That's where I would start if I were a novice LOL.
