Default How Do I Get There?
Model Number: DDE7206MDLWH   Brand: GE   Age: 5 - 10 years

My dryer had no heat. I was going to replace the heating element, but I can't find it! I took off the the back access panel. Didn't see anything that looked like where I needed to be! I took off the top. Could see the drum. And in the back I could see a housing cover , which I think is where the heating coils are going to go! But how do I get there? Or am I even close to being there???? HELP!!!

there is a screw on either side of front panel .then gently lift panel of bottom clips so you do not disconnect wires ,put to side, disconect belt from idler tension pulley+motor.there 2 screws on either side of frame about 1 foot from base .i remove them to make it eisier to remove drum .now the heater is exposed/ you can buy the entire assembly with or without thermostats, check for broken element
