The basic problem is the dryer gets very hot. When I peer through the hole in the front panel with the dryer operating, I don't see the heating element cycling, it just stays on.

When I remove the front panel and turn the dryer on, the heating element cycles just fine (on for ~1min, then off, ....etc).

When I put the front panel back on, the element won't cycle...it just stays on and the dryer gets very hot.

I'm not sure which thermostat is bad? Any suggestions? The dryness sensor appears to be working (the light indicates when I put wet cloths in).

Thanks,
Tom
