Dryer Repair

Okay, so my dryer stopped drying, figured out it was the heating element fuse. I fixed that, but now now that if my dryer dial is not set to off, the dryer will start even if I dont hit "start", if it is on "off" it wont run, but the second I move the dial to how long I want it to dry, the dryer starts.

Is this a major problem I need to worry about or can I just forget about it? If I should fix it, what likely is it? I looked at the starter switch, but it seemed fine and I didnt even touch it when I switched out the fuse.

Sorry I can't provide any meaningful support but I have the same issue with my GE dryer. I haven't seen a response on my thread either so hopefully you have better luck.

A model number may not help you as GE likes to keep all technical info a big secret.
I do not have access to that info so hopefully someone else with info on your unit will jump in.
