I installed a new thermal fuse and it stopped working after 2 uses. when tested current does not pass through fuse any longer. I assumed part defective and replaced. The same thing happened on first dry attempt. I dont think it is the part but an unknown problem in my dryer. can you help me figure the problem out. Maybe I should replace the high heat fuse as well? the current one does have good test results for current/continuity. thank you

The thermal fuse is not your problem, nor is any other fuse.

The fuse blows because your dryer is getting too hot.

Your dryer is getting to hot because either the cycling thermostat is stuck on or, much more likely, there is restricted air flow. Clean out all of the internal vent area, particularly around the blower and make sure the blower is working correctly. You will need to take off the blower cover to do this. Then clean out the vent line going from the dryer to the outside.

This should fix it.
