The heating element needs 240 volts while the motor will run with 120 volts. If there is nothing wrong then perform the troubleshooting, using the instructions from one of our previous posts: http://forum.appliancepartspros...timer-wont-turn-off.html Post the results of the troubleshooting. The thermal fuse in electric dryer is in the motor circuit. If this fuse is open then the dryer would not do anything. Gene.

Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 1/6/2009(UTC) Posts: 11		Hi, the Thermal fuse read 0.7, high limit thermostat read 0.7, heating element 10.1, there was no reading in the thermal cutoff and no reading on two of the fourcontacts in the cycling thermostat. Does this mean that the thermal cutoff and cycling thermostat are NO GOOD?
