Model Number: DDE5100MCLWH Brand: GE Age: More than 10 years
My dryer is making a loud screeching noise. Having read various repair post,I assume the noise is from a faulty drum bearing.I have disassembled the dryer, removed the drum and then took out the drum bearing. The shaft pulled right out of the housing along with a 1" plastic tube the shaft fits into. Is this normal for this to come out in 2 peices or is this the problem. Aside from this bearing, everthing else looks to be in good condition. Any ideas or suggestions. Thanks John
