Default Frigidaire/Electrolux Dryer not always heating
Model Number: LEQ1442ES1   Brand: Frigidaire   Age: 1 - 5 years

Appliance Parts from AppliancePartPros.com

My Frigidaire/Electrolux dryer is not always getting hot. On high it started to not get hot sometimes. It would work on medium heat but now that also sometimes works. This just started in the past 7-10 days.

Hi,

Check to make sure the dryer duct is not kinked or getting restricted with lint build up.

I would also check the blower housing to make sure it's lint free.

The duct is clear and not kinked. I cleaned the blower housing, there was a light dusting of lint. Not really a lot.

The dryer only gets hot on the medium setting. The high setting is cold.

We have a Electrolux EWMED65IRR and it acts the same way, heats up only on one setting and it will change day-to-day. We had it to the repair service, they said it was the thermostat. It still is acting up, anyone with an idea would be greatly appreciated

Same symptoms but the units are very different.
You may want to start your own post using Post New Topic.

Here are your parts
Parts for Electrolux EWMED65IRR0 Dryer - AppliancePartsPros.com
It includes a wiring diagram but is hard to read.

I only see one thermostat in the unit and that is the hi-limit thermostat which is just a safety device so I do not know why they felt it was the problem or if that is what they actually replaced.

More info on exactly what is happening would also be helpful.

It looks like you unit has three heating coils and they are each controlled by their own relay so that is how they adjust the temperature.
