I've got a dryer that won't heat on any setting, but otherwise seams to be running (lots of air-flow). It came with the house when we bought it 15 months ago (so it's out of any manufacturers and new home warranty). When first powered up, the 'check filter' LED was flashing and the filter was very dirty. We've cleaned the filter with a specifically designed brush and vacuumed what we could, but the LED continues to flash on power-up. When running the LEDs for 'drying' are all flashing in unison (I don't know what they used to do). I ran the diagnostics as per page 16 of the service manual. I found I could wipe the moisture sensors and then run through the tests and I think it verified the moisture sensor is working. After pushing the start/pause button I get the following; 0) no error codes 1) 237 down to 120 2) 24 3) 23 Door Open) dE This all seams normal as far as I can tell. I have not been brave enough to start disassembling the unit to get to the gas valve or thermoswitches to test them (the manual says you have to remove the drum to get to them) Your advice please.

Was there an answer to the problem of the dryer not heating? I have the exact same problem. LG gas dryer model#DLG5932S. I have had two technicians out and no one can solve the problem. It was suggeted that the gas value be replaced with no success. Secondly, an LG support tech informed the repair tech the motor needed to be replaced. There was a bad sensor inside the motor. After ordering the new motor and replacing in dryer, the problem was still not resolved. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Default Dryer Repired

We ended up hiring an LG repairman, and he replaced 2 sensors (enither in the motor itself). It was quite a job to dissemble the unit to get to them, but he really knew what he was doing.
