I have the same problem with my Maytag gas dryer. The gas lights and runs for about five minutes, and then shuts off. Everything is hot, but the gas does not re-light. I have tested the HEATER (Black plastic ring that surrounds the thermostat) and there was no continuity. So I am ordering a new Heater and Thermostat. I'll let you know how it works out.
