hello,


My matag dryer is not heating model number MDG3706AWW. The iginiator is working and glowing. Tested the power to the solenoids seems to be no contanuity between 4 & 5. Does this mean the solenoid is bad or is the something else. We have it a part right now.

If the solenoid is good, it will present a very strong attraction to a screwdriver shaft, when it is placed into the hole. Remove the coils from the gas valve (just one or two screws), and leave attached to the wiring connectors. Test them both. If both strongly attract the screwdriver, the problem may be in the flame sensor.
