The main reason a dryer gets too hot is that there is restriction in air flow. Take off the front again and thoroughly clean out the blower and vent system. Make sure there is no lint or anything clogging the system all the way to the outdoors. check for any obstruction in the lint screen system also.

Also make sure the blower is correctly attached to the motor and is turning correctly.

If this all checks out and you still think it is operating too hot, you might change out the operating thermostats. This is the first one I would replace.
