My dryer will run for a week or so and then it won't start. Press the start button and the timer will tick if it is in any position other than off.

What should I do?

It does not run right now. I tested the timer by checking the power wires with a ohm meter. Checked ok.

Check for continuity across the timer terminals "T" & "W".

Replace the timer if it's open.

Check the thermal fuse (#7 on the bulkhead parts break down diagram).

Replace if it's open together with the cycling thermostat (#8 on the bulkhead parts break down diagram).

- The part number for the timer is AP3135794

- The part number for the thermal fuse is AP3132867

- The part number for the cycling thermostat is AP3131939

Here are the break down diagrams for the Whirlpool dryer Model LER6611LQ0
