About 3 weeks ago our dryer stopped getting hot. I removed front panel, vacuumed and cleaned interior, checked connections and continuity of the element, thermal cut-off, high-limit thermostat, thermal fuse and thermistor. Everything checked out okay.

I plugged dryer back in and everything worked fine. Now, 3 weeks later, it stopped heating again. Continuity of above parts still appears correct. This time I checked resistance at the control board--about 9k ohms at P2-5 (red/white wire) and P2-6 (black wire).

My understanding is the control board is at fault and needs to be replaced. Is this correct? Could it be anything else?

There is 240 volts getting to the dryer. Thanks.

What is the resistance of the thermistor at room temperature?

Resistance is about 12K at room temp.

Sounds like there's nothing left except the board. Before committing to that cost, I would make for sure, for sure, for d*** sure, that the outlet is producing 220 -240 VAC, then, make the same kind of sure that you're getting the same voltage at the power cord wiring block.

I'm certain about the line voltage. I'm hoping there is something else I'm overlooking though as the control board is about $150.
