dryer burns clothes even on air fluff
Model Number: le7000xkwo Brand: Whirlpool Age: More than 10 years
element doesn't shut off except in last 2 min. of a cycle

It may be an electrical failure through the motor, but more likely a failure of the thermostats. Because they may be failing in the closed position there is no easy way to check them out.
I would call APP for a price check and availability if you want to change them out. No guarantee of a fix, but a good possibility. Good luck.
