they don't build 'em like this anymore....30 yrs old! glow plug lights, gas fires up and shuts down in a few seconds.

Lester,
If the glow coil continues to cycle on and off but no flame, you'd have a weak set of gas valve coils. Part number: AP3094108

If the gas valve flame cycles off and on , and you're sure the exhaust vent and hood are not clogged with lint, then we need to look for a weak thermostat.
