burner igniter glows gas valve does not open could it be a sensor problem or the gas valve

it is a gas valve problem, but you can most likely get off by replacing the coils on the gas valve. it is alot cheaper!! tom

If you do end up having to replace a part you should check out this website. I have had numerous issues in the past with various appliances and this site sells discount appliance parts. good luck!

Try calling this discount appliance parts company. They'll tell you what the problem is, how to fix it, and the appliance repair parts you'll need at no charge.

What do you think we do here. We have techs that give advise. Not parts sales people gving advise. Tom :cool:

Hi kayakcrzy. Thank you for your kind remarks. Actually, the people at this company who give repair advice are not "parts sales people," but rather certified appliance repair technicians.

Did you say Certifiable LOL!! Great!! Do they need sme Help? I only have about 31 years experience, and I am out there everyday, seeing all the new stuff. Kind of like Draggs, Gene, Woodchucky, Sinfink, applianceman, Me!!!, and I probably left a few out. Really, can't get any better then that!! Right there is about 150 years experience!!! Tom:cool:
