My old dryer isn't heating anymore. Happened all of a sudden. At first, I thought it was the heating element and ordered a new one. When installing it, I noticed that the Hi-Limit Thermostat wire was fried. When I removed the thermostat, it fell apart. So I ordered one of those. I thought that would take care of the heating problem, but it didn't. Still cold. I don't know what to look at next. The Hi-Limit Thermostat was originally a 2 wire unit. I understand that I will only use terminal 1 and 3 of the 3 terminal unit I received. Does it matter if these wires are reversed? (Term 1 wire on term 3, and vice versa)? Everything else works just fine. Please help. Need to do laundry...
Thank you.
