The OE style coil kit for this unit has apparently been discontinued, and the replacement kit is slightly different- Both new coils now have two blade connectors whereas one original part has three. The female side of the wiring harness plugs onto it, but what about the third wire? Additionally. the metal bracket which secures the coils onto their shafts has holes which index onto protrusions cast into the white plastic of the coil body- one is at the 12:00 position and one at 6:00. The replacement coils both have a protrusion in the 12:00 position.I can simply drill the bracket to accept the new coil but am wondering if they will even function properly. Thanks for any feedback.
