I have a Maytag Electric dryer that is over heating. I have replaced both thermostats and the dryer still is getting very hot. I have replaced two thermal fuses.

Hi Keith

A major reason for overheating is insufficient air flow. Take the blower cover off and make sure the blower is cleaned out and is operating correctly. Also clean out the vent and make sure there is no obstruction.

If you are venting a long distance, or venting vertically this can also be a source of the problem.

Good luck.
