dryer won't turn on only hums and shuts off
Model Number: lgr5644aw1 Brand: Whirlpool Age: More than 10 years
Dryer stopped working and put in aThermal Fuse. Worked for awhile now it just hums when turned on and then will shut off. Also vacumned out all the lint from below. Is it worth fixing. Thanks for your help. Karen

You probably need someone to help you with this simple test. Open the door. Push and hold the door switch. Push the start button and manually turn the drum. If it would start then the motor is the culprit.

dryer won't run
Thanks Gene for your help. I ordered the new motor plus other parts you suggested. Finally got it all put together and it's running like a new dryer.Your help was greatly appreciated. Great web site. Thanks Karen
