Default dryer shuts off before clothes are dry
Model Number: 100.62082101   Brand: Kenmore   Age: 1 - 5 years

I have a Kenmore Elite Sensor Smart electric dryer. The dryer shuts off before the clothes are dry while using the auto-mosture sensor setting. The tech sheet that came with the dryer has 5 different test to preform. These tests indicate that the electronic control panel needs replaced. I have installed a new one. The problem still exists. The exhaust ducts are clear. Does anyone know what my problem could be? You help would be greatly appreciated. Ken.

Did you run the moister sensor test as described in the tech sheet (test# 4)?

Gene.

Default moisture sensor test

Gene, Thanks for replying. i completed all seven tests in the Tech sheet. The diagnostic test, the only difference is when the "Start" pad is pushed, a code of "09" is displayed and the dryer starts. Test 3, test 3a, test 3b, test 3c, test 4, and test 5 all pass or check good. this code "09" must mean something.

I do not know what the error code "09" means. Unfortunately this is beyond my expertise.

Maybe somebody else on the forum can help you better.

Gene.
