The new house we move into require a 4 legs dryer power cable. I went to Home Depot and got the 4 legs cable and connect all 4 legs ie (R-R, W-W, B-B) and Green to the metal spot where the original green spot and wrap the previous green cord with E-tape.

It works fine for the first 10-15 mins and stop with no power, I check the circuit breaker and it got tripped. This happen several times in the past two days.

Please let me know what goes wrong and whether I should get a new dryer. :confused:

You may have disconnected power ground, just check. if ok, you may have damaged the motor. I would bench test the motor with 115 volts to pins 4 and 5
