Model Number: DSKP333E Brand: GE Age: 1 - 5 years
Have a 110 volt dryer with little to no heat. Have to do 3 cycles to get items dry. Occassionally, it will get very hot. Have checked and confirmed continuity on the "coil springs" and also on 2 items that has numbers 313897 and 540B146P on both. Our manual does not show the remaining model numbers. Thanks in advance for your much needed and appreciated help. Have a good day. Ed.

Hi Ed,
The first thing I would do is clean the vent all the way through the vent outlet. Disassemble the dryer and clean all air ducts, the blower wheel and its housing. Make sure the blower wheel is not slipping on the motor shaft. Here are the breakdown diagrams and Replacement parts for GE DSKP333EC0WH | AppliancePartsPros.com Gene.

Thanks Gene. During disassembly, I discovered the two electrical items that are attached to the blower housing. Can you tell me how to check continuity? The numbers on one are HTR120V69TK11, 540B293P005, L40 7C 0519, 326887.
The other numbers are (same), 540B293P004, L53-7c0519, 326886. Thanks in advance. Ed. |

No one of these numbers is a valid GE part number.
The following article on our forum will explain in detail how to run a continuity test using either an analog meter or a digital meter - How To Check Continuity With Ohmmeter Quote:

I didn't take the blower assembly apart. There was nearly no lint in the wheel discharge tube. I ran it after reassembly and it has excellent force. Can there be a problem in the blower assembly and still have good force? Thanks Ed.

Reinstalled dryer today. Heats up to where the door is pretty hot with no clothes in it. Put a "normal" (small) load of clothes in and it took 3 cycles to dry and the door didn't get very warm. Thanks in advance for you advice. Ed.
