The dryer will not start. I think it may have not completed it cycle the last time it ran. I think the timer dial did not go all the way to the end.
I have read through many posts on here and have done this so far. Removed the thermal fuse and tested it with a multi-meter. I am not entirely sure what I am doing with a multi-tester, but right now I have more motivation than money, so...
I removed and tested the fuse. The meter moved. I tested the door switch. When I touched the tester prongs to what the blue and grey wires were attached to, the meter moved. But the meter did not move whenever I touched the tester prongs to what the yellow wire was attached to. Should the meter move regardless of the prongs on the door switch that I touch?
If that response for the door switch was correct, what do I check now? The timer? If so, can someone guide me through testing the timer?
Drying clothes on a clothes line in the winter is almost useless and the kids' clothes are piling up. Any help will be appreciated. I am pretty handy despite not understanding a multi-tester. I have replaced the rollers and belt on this dryer in the past. Surely this dryer still has some life in it despite it's age.
