My Whirlpool dryer all of the sudden stopped heating up. If you peak in the hole in the front you can see the ignitor light but it only stays lit for a couple minutes then goes out. I also noticed that once this starting happening the timer quit working unless on timed dry. It takes 3 cycles or more to dry a load of clothes. A friend looked at it for me and said he thinks it is a sensor. Either the ignitor sensor or the exhaust sensor (so it thinks it's overheating) Then while looking online I have seen simular problems on other sites and someone said it may be the coils. Has anyone else had this problem and could you tell me what ended up fixing it? I really can't afford to buy a bunch of parts if people are just guessing. Any information will help! Thank you in advance for any help! :)
