Touch Panel Not Working
Model Number: GEW9868KT0 Brand: Whirlpool Age: 5 - 10 years
I have an electric dryer (Whirlpool Calypso - model #GEW9868KT0) and the touch panel at the top stopped working a couple of days go. I've confirmed that there is power to the dryer (the breaker isn't tripped and the interior light comes on when you open the dryer). I've tried unplugging it, waiting 15 minutes and then reconnecting it, but still no luck. Also, since I am unable to get the panel to respond, I am unable to perform any diagnostics. In looking at other postings, is my best bet to replace the dryer thermal fuse or is there something else I should check first?
