dryer would not run. I found a bad fuse. I replaced the fuse in back, and also the cycling thermostat, the Ignitor, and two coils. The ignitor lights up, and the gas comes on for about 5 min. and then goes out. When the ignitor comes on in a few minutes, it glows, and the gas only comes on for about 2 to3 seconds, and then goes out. The next time the ignitor comes on, the gas will not come on. When I let the dryer, sit for about an hour, it will come on for about 5 min, o.k. when the next time the ignitor comes on, no gas. I checked the flame senor with a meter, and it checks out o.k. What could be the problem. Thank you.

Another item to check is the gas valve coils. They may be OK under normal conditions but after a few cycles they will not operate properly. Get a new set and install them . Heat and age are the usual problems with these coils resulting in the problems you describe.
