My LG dryer had stopped a couple of times but kept heating. I needed to wait before it would run again. Then a couple of times when starting it made a rough sound in the motor but would go away when stopped and started again. Then the other night while drying, it made a grinding sound and stopped. Now it will only run for about 5 seconds then stop.

Called LG and they said it could be a card or something slim that I left in a pocket went down through the lint screen and into the blower wheel. So I took the dryer apart and the blower wheel turns fine but I found a Target gift card in the exhaust hose behind the dryer. Could that have hurt the motor and now is causing it to only run for a few minutes?
