You can find the complete instructions in the service manual.

- The part number for the drive belt is AP3988821

- Here are the break down diagrams for the Maytag dryer Model DE7500

Good luck.
Gene.

Default dryer belt

The way to take off the lid is to first Unplug the unit, open the lint filter door. Remove the screws, then pull the top toward you and lift on the front where it meets the body. You can then lift the front of the lid as it is on hinges. When this is done the next thing si to remove the 2 screws, one on each side in the corners nearest you. Then pull the front toward you and lift . Then unplug the door switch and the front can be removed from the dryer. To replace belt, on the under side of the drum, you will see a tensioner. Move the tensioner toward the motor and slip the old belt from the motor shaft. Slide complete belt toward you and remove from the drum. To replace, put new belt around drum grooved side against drum. Slide back about 2/3 way and on the underside, take belt and run under the bottom side of the tensioner pulley, pull the tensioner toward the motor, and slide belt around motor shaft. Th replace front, hold front of dryer against body, make sure the drum fits around channel guide on the front, lift front and slide in the bottom into their "catches" then push the top of the front toward the drum, and re install the 2 screws. Plug in your door switch, shut the lid, and put the screws back in the lint filter housing under the lint filter door
