NEED HELP w/ SICK DRYER

Model Number: LGA30AW Brand: Amana Age: 1 - 5 years

I have a Dryer that when turned on makes horrible squeking noice then shuts off after a while. When I try and turn it back on it makes a horrible noice and then turns off again. Is it just the belt or is it time for a new dryer.
