You guys helped me out with my overheating dryer and I thank you... but I still have an issue with this internal heater that bothers me. Because of the failure resulting in no temperature reduction on the thermostat, I'm trying to figure out a way that I could be warned that the internal heater is not working before it destroys a couple of hundred dollars worth of clothes. I had thoughts of just putting a fixed thermostat with a lower temperature in there and doing away with the 3 drying options, but there is times when it's nice to have the higher temperature. Does anyone have any ideas? Unfortunately, it works in the opposite way when it fails, giving you too much heat instead of less. Thanks for your help...
