dryer doesnt dry "well". clothes are warm when removed. I have limited knowledge but believe heating element is working. Do some dryers have more than one element? Where else should I look for problem?

If you feel heat, the problem is probably ventilation. Check to make sure there are no restrictions or obstructions in the vent system. Lint and other things, like animal nests, can restrict the air flow. This makes the dryer labor more, lengthening the drying time, and can eventually cause failure of the element or the thermostats.
