The gas dryer turns on but it does not produce any heat. What part of the dryer needs to be replaced?

Thanks for your help!

Hi Masalinas

If your dryer is not producing heat there can be two reasons.

1. Your dryer has thermal fuses(they blow when it gets too hot) and thermostats and other electrical pieces that if defective will prevent the dryer from letting the heat come on. You need to check them for continuity with a meter.

2. If they are ok, the problem is in your gas system. If you look at other posts on this forum on gas dryers you will see some suggestions about troubleshooting the gas heating system (I am not a gas man so cannot give you much guidance beyond this). Most will suggest replacing your gas coils.

Good luck, let us know if you need more info.
