Default Block Cover Assembly
Model Number: LEQ9508KQ0   Brand: Whirlpool   Age: 1 - 5 years

Long story short, i took the back off my dryer and have this extra piece which I've identified as part 3396795 Cover, Block. From the exploded parts drawing I can't really tell where it belongs. I thiolught it was down near the bottom of the back of the lint filter, but on the drawing it appears to be connected with the terminal block. It's possible that it had become disconnected and just "slid" down the back of the machine to rest where i found it. Can anyone tell me it's purpose and if it indeed goes up with the Terminal Block? Seems to make sense, but i'm confused by where it was when i took the back off the dryer. Thank you.

That's the cover for your terminal block. A safety feature to prevent shocks.
